
Suzanne Pleshette, born January 31, 1937, passed away on the 19th of January 2008. She was an American film voice actor, TV host and voice actor. Pleshette began her career in theatre, and was a part of films in the 1950s and later. She was later featured in notable films such as Rome Adventure (1962), Alfred Hitchcock's The Birds (1963), or Spirited Away (192001). Later, she was in numerous television shows and was frequently acting as a guest. She played Emily Hartley in The Bob Newhart Show from 1972 to 1978, where she received several Emmy Award nominations. Pleshette was the daughter of Geraldine (nee Kaplan),[1] and Eugene Pleshette, was born on January 31, 1937, in Brooklyn Heights. Her parents were Jewish and were the children of emigrants from Russia and Austria-Hungary.Her mother was a dancer and artist who performed under the stage name Geraldine Rivers. Her father was the stage manager at the Paramount Theater, Manhattan, and the Paramount Theater, Brooklyn.
