Sharon Yvonne Stone was born on March 10 of 1958 in Meadville, Pennsylvania, to accountant Dorothy Lawson and tool and die manufacturer also a former worker at a factory Joseph William Stone II. Michael, Kelly and Patrick, are three of her siblings. Stone was considered academically gifted as a child and began the second grade when she was five. Stone graduated from high school with a diploma in Saegertown in Saegertown in Pennsylvania in the year 1975. In 1975, the Miss Pennsylvania beauty competition saw Stone take home Miss Crawford County. Stone relocated from Pennsylvania to New Jersey in 1977 with her aunt in order to pursue a career as a model. In less than a month Stone signed up for the Ford Modeling Agency. The next step was Europe in the course of a year living within Milan, Paris and other cities. But, Stone became disillusioned with the modeling scene and modeling in Europe which led her to pursue acting while living there. She appeared at 20 in Woody Allen's "Stardust Memories," a film that received mixed praises.
